All you need is flashlights, I recommend head lights so the hands are free. Most of the time you will be crawling on all fours. Don't wear dress clothes. The knees may get worn out!

This is a great family activities in the outdoors. No bookings. Rarely are there crowds! Bring water and food!

I tell stories about the times when the Jews hid in caves in the times of the Bar Kokba revolution. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?search=Bar+Kokhba+revolt&title=Special%3ASearch&profile=advanced&fulltext=1&ns0=1

I recommend a large spool of string as part of this adventure. Tie it near the mouth of the cave and leave a path to return to the opening. The caves are large and complex. Small children need to be supervised as there are places where one could have a dangerous fall. For example, there are connecting holes that connect between different floors of the cave system.

Some of the caves open up to large caverns with triangle cut outs on the walls. Those were for raising pigeons!
